A bit about me..
I offer a confidential space for clients to talk about what is troubling them. Working with me, an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist you will get the best of both traditional and modern therapy. Unique tailoring to best help identify and better understand your issues. I offer techniques for coping, managing, and overcoming emotional difficulties. I actively participate in additional training to keep myself up to date with the latest research, skills and understanding to pass that on to you.
I work with a variety of presenting issues from depression, anxiety, anger, relationships to support for addiction, self-harm and abuse. If you don't identify with the presenting issues listed, no worries. Simply email or call, I offer a free 20 minute phone assessment for those unsure about what they want or need. I believe it is important to understand the person as a whole and look into the past, present and future to promote real active long lasting change. Our circumstances may change, yet we still often get stuck in patterns of harmful behaviour, negative thoughts, or just feelings of hopelessness. I can help
My passion for choosing to work as a Professional Counsellor and Psychotherapist was from my own experience as a client and the positive changes in made in my life. We all go through difficult times and sometimes we just need a confidential space to talk to someone.
Over the past 20 years I have lived in the USA, Middle East, Africa and now settling in the UK. Being immersed in different cultures has driven my curiosity on human relationships and the role culture, race and religion play in our everyday lives. Since living in London, I have been working with a couple of different charities providing one to one counselling. I spent a year working with children in primary schools at an amazing charity called Place2be. I am proud to have been a part of this effort and growing charity that provides these much needed services to primary and secondary schools all across London.
Currently I work with a charity that counsels survivors of domestic abuse. Working with these women has been especially empowering and humbling for me personally and professionally. I specialise in counselling those affected by domestic abuse and difficult relationship issues. This includes understanding how to build healthier relationships with partners, family, and friends. Most importantly understanding yourself to build self-esteem, confidence and self-worth.
